If you watched television during the 1990s, you are probably familiar with the sitcom "Martin." Two actors from that TV series, who have been married for about 20 years now, recently filed for bankruptcy. Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell initiated their bankruptcy process earlier this year, claiming that they were over $15 million in debt.
In spite of the massive amount of debt this Hollywood power couple has found themselves in, they report only having about $313,000 worth of assets to their name. Furthermore, they earn jointly approximately $8,000 a month, but there financial expenses are about double this amount. The debts the couple owes include millions of dollars they need to pay back to banks, back taxes and lease money owed on a Range Rover.
The 47-year-old actress, Tisha Campbell, played Gina on the "Martin" TV show. Not only is she an actress, but she is also a singer and recently she released a video and single called "Lazy B–ch (This Ain't Gina)."
This bankruptcy case certainly goes to show you that even people who have achieved a great amount of success on television, and financially, can still find themselves in money problems. Indeed, the amount of money and success one has achieved is not always an indicator of financial stability. Financial problems can literally happen to anyone at any time.
Fortunately for people whose debt situations have gotten out of control, bankruptcy could be the answer. By consulting with an experienced Pennsylvania bankruptcy lawyer, individuals and families suffering from debt difficulties can explore the various legal options and debt resolution strategies available to them.
